How It Works
A mortgage modification changes the terms of your existing mortgage, without refinancing, to save your home and lower your payment. It is basically a negotiation between the homeowner, or the homeowner’s representative (in our case, the attorney affiliate of Certified Loan Modification, LLC) and the mortgage company. The lengthy and difficult task of modifying your mortgage through our experienced attorney almost guarantees a very favorable outcome for the borrower. That said, we want to clarify that it is possible for you to attempt this process on your own, either directly with your lender or through the new government program.
On March 4th, 2009, the Obama Administration announced a new plan to assist homeowners with this process, called The Making Home Affordable Plan. This plan will work in conjunction with traditional lender loan modifications; however, the Loan Modification Guidelines as written under the plan are quite confusing and intimidating for most people to understand. Additionally, the plan will require a tremendous amount of time, research, and documentation in order for the average homeowner to apply for the program, much less obtain a satisfactory modification. Our experienced attorneys will contact your lender immediately, and work to obtain the lowest possible rate and monthly payment available from your lender.
*Please note: if you are more than 30 days behind on your mortgage, your lender has full legal rights of foreclosure. Our attorneys will work to stop the foreclosure proceedings immediately.

HOW IT WORKS:
Our attorneys have years of experience in negotiating directly with all of the major financial institutions, and are thus able to obtain very effective financial results during the modification process. We will work with you to collect the necessary financial information to begin the process, and our attorneys will take over from there. Throughout the entire negotiating process, a mortgage specialist from Certified Loan Modification will be keeping you informed about our progress. We will continue negotiations with your lender until you are satisfied with your new drastically reduced interest rate and monthly payment. Frequently, our expert attorneys insist upon 3 or 4 offers from the lender before accepting a negotiated agreement on your behalf, and always with your consent.
